Not to be a parody of an academic listening to music, but…this sort of reminds me of Zizek, riffing off Lacan (and Lenin) when he writes about the necessity of leaping without coordinates. THe point being if you think about things to much, if you plan and know where you are going to land, then you are always going to end up within the given coordinates of what can be imagined. And that’s no way to bring on a revolution. You have to, as the Pink Fairies put it: do it
